No Flip Flops or Thong type shoes are allowed, even for arrival and departure. Wearing these onsite is a procedure violation!
Important notes for new hires: If this is your first nuclear facility here are a few tips to make your training phase flow smoother. If you served in active military duty or discharged within the last 3 yrs and it was considered employment, you must provide a copy of your DD214. You will need names, addresses, phone numbers and dates of all of your employers, within the last three yrs. You will need a list of all of your residences, including addresses, for the last five yrs. You will need to list all arrests since your 18th birthday. You must bring the arresting paperwork and proof of court disposition. I cannot stress enough the importance of completing all security paperwork as honestly and as straightforward as you can. Omission on your paperwork is reason for termination of unescorted access.
Transportation Requirements:
It is required that each employee has their own transportation. If you have a issue I must know 2 weeks prior to your start date. If you show up with this issue, you will risk having a shift issue I can't fix.
Shift preference, requested SDO’s and special requests: In an attempt to accommodate everyone the best I can, I am requesting that you inform me of any special needs and/or requests. If you are traveling with someone and need to be on the same shift or you have other legitimate requests, please inform me at the earliest possible time of those requests. You can email me at marta,overstreet@exeloncorp.com. Or call me at 815-830-2029. I will make every attempt to honor your request but as you know sometimes it may not be possible. Schedules are developed weeks prior to the outage and I may be unable to adjust, to meet your needs if I am unaware of them until your report date.

For all Bartlett folks coming to Braidwood’s Outage, first let me say Thank you. My name is Marta Overstreet and I will be the Bartlett Coordinator. The report time is 0630 for your first day. We will be at the Services and Training Center (STC) for inprocessing. The address is 36400 S. Essex Road Wilmington, IL 60481. The address for the plant is 35100 South Rt. 53 Braceville, IL 60407.
As you arrive, you will pick up a site inprocessing folder and will be directed to your first room assignment. In this folder, look for the purple training schedule. This will list all of your classes required prior to badging. Do not be late to classes; no late entries are accepted and you will have to re-schedule. This will delay badging.
I will be in the cafeteria with folders containing Bartlett inprocessing paperwork. Please stop by prior to going to your first room. Most of our folks will have FFD scheduled right away, so plan accordingly. If you are going to be late, please call. I will have my cell phone and will check messages regularly. My number is 815-830-2029. Reception is limited within the building. I-9s are expiring so come prepared with acceptable documentation to complete a new I-9.
Cell phone camera usage is prohibited on company property, or company sponsored events. Any photographing or videotaping on company property must be in compliance with site security procedures.
The outage is scheduled to begin September 9th, 2013. The outage duration is approx. 23 days. During the outage we will work six twelve’s. Prior to the outage we will work five eight’s (40 hours per week) with limited overtime.

| Braidwood Generating Station, located near Braidwood in Northeast Illinois, is a two-unit nuclear generating facility capable of generating 1,120 net megawatts per unit. Together the units produce enough power to support the electricity needs of over 2 million average American homes.
The station is built on a 4,457-acre site, and its cooling lake was formed from scarred farming land and an old strip mine. Its Units 1 and 2 are pressurized water reactors designed by Westinghouse and began commercial operation in July and October 1988, respectively.

| We have an agreement with Centrue Bank to cash checks. The charge is $1.00 per hundred. There are multiple locations around the plant, as well as one in a local grocery that is open 7 days a week.

| Important: You need 2 forms of ID. One must be a valid government issued photo ID (Valid {NOT EXPIRED} Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport), and the other should be your social security card, or ORIGINAL birth certificate. Senior HP techs must take the Nuclear Utilities Fundamentals Exam (NUF) and pass with a grade of 80% or better, unless you are either an NRRPT “active participant”, or have taken the NUF within the past 4 years and passed with 80%. NRRPT and prior test results must be verified, so bring your NRRPT certificate with you, or know where and when you last passed the NUF, in case it is not recorded in PADS. If we cannot verify your status, you will be required to take the test about midweek. Juniors will be required to take a theory exam. Study material can be found at www.westrain.org Study sections RP-3 and RP-5. Miscellaneous: Hard hats and safety glasses are available, however if you have your own favorites, they are acceptable as long as they meet ANSI standards. If you have been issued hardhats at a previous outage, please bring it with you. No shortpants are allowed in training. You must have on longpants and a sleeved shirt. Composite toe or Steel toe shoes are required. Work shoes must be worn during in-processing. Scrubs are provided on-site. Bank runs and other off-site errands will be very hard to accommodate during the first couple days of training, especially for non-returnees, as the in-processing schedule for those days is fairly tight.
